Live Oak Baptist is a Southern Baptist Church and Live Oak Baptist Church is an autonomous local church. All decisions and actions concerning the church, finances, projects, and other activities, are decided by the congregation of the church. The pastor is the Under Shepherd to the Chief Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ. All decisions concerning messages preached, materials taught and the doctrinal stand of the church are determined, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, by the pastor. All activities of the church are decided by the membership through the church council and other committees.

Live Oak Baptist Church is a member of a local group of other Southern Baptist Churches, the Northeast Florida Baptist Association . Our goal is to, by working together, evangelize the northeast corner of the state of Florida.

Live Oak Baptist Church is an active member in the statewide Florida Baptist Convention. Our goal through the Florida Baptist Convention is to see the whole state of Florida be evangelized so that all may hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Live Oak Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention . The SBC consisting of over 44,000 churches is a vehicle by which through the cooperative program, the International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board, we can help to evangelize the whole world.
