Missions and Outreach

We would love for you to Connect with us and get involved in our many local and foreign mission activities. Our local mission activities fall under the direction of our Shadow of the Steeple ministries. This involves disaster relief, food programs, clothing giveaways, “good Samaritan” activities such as building wheelchair ramps, repairing floors, rebuilding decks, and many other activities.

Live Oak Baptist Church likes to take an active role in community affairs through our benevolence program. We seek to help financially burdened single parents, older fixed income adults, those who experienced disaster in their lives and others. The benevolence program is directed by the Benevolence Team.

For those who cannot labor specifically, they can give financially and direct their financial gifts to certain projects or events.

To participate in traveling for foreign missions, church members must demonstrate in their day-to-day local activities a desire to win people to Jesus Christ. Individuals going on foreign mission trips must go through a training class each time a trip is offered. Upon successfully completing the class and demonstrating the character necessary to take such a trip, the church will pay up to 70% of the total cost, not including personal expenses. People are chosen to go on such trips by the pastor, along with the leaders of the various teams.
